Computerised Booking
Andicars has fully computerised booking and despatch data units in all vehicles. This system enables all bookings to be entered into a central computer and our GPS tracking system despatches written information to an in-car display to ensure that the car nearest to the booking is selected for an efficient and prompt pick up.
An additional feature to the booking system is 'Caller Identification' which gives Andicars the facility to provide a more rapid, professional and personal telephone service to our customers. When a customer calls, their telephone number automatically appears on the computer booking screen as the telephone operator lifts the receiver, therefore eliminating the need for the operator to enter address/pick up details each time which dramatically reduces the process of taking bookings and improves information accuracy.
Interactive Voice Response (IVR)
IVR is our Interactive Voice Response system whereby our computer stores your name, address, and other relevant data about your account, and this in turn enables Andicars to dispatch a vehicle to you without you speaking to the operator. When you telephone from your home or workplace the computer immediately recognises and cross-references your telephone number to the data held on our booking system. It then reads back your house number and road name, and by following the simple instructions below, your cab will be booked and dispatched to you as soon as possible. This can be set for any customer who has a landline installed on their premises. There is still an option during the call to bypass the IVR system and speak directly to one of our Customer Services Operators in our call centre. An advantage of using this system is that during peak call times you will not be placed in a queuing system waiting for your call to be answered and you can be assured that your booking has been processed.
IVR USER INSTRUCTIONS
Always remember if you have any reason to speak to the operator press "0" at any time of the initial call. On dialling 02392 350350 you will receive a short welcoming introduction. The system will confirm your details, and if you require a cab as soon as possible it will invite you to press keypad 1. It will then confirm your taxi is booked and give you a booking reference number. You need to do no more. Your Taxi will be dispatched to you and the computer will give you priority availability. On average 95% of the time within 10 - 15 minutes.
The above system should be used for the majority of your bookings. Please note the system is only set from your landline. In about six months time we will have the software for you to use the system in conjunction with your mobile telephone. We will inform you when this part of the system is available.
